2C delivers over $50 million in road improvement construction per year across Colorado Springs through asphalt resurfacing, concrete flatwork replacement, drainage improvements, and federally mandated PROWAG curb ramp retrofit and additions. In partnership with the City, Basis annually oversees and manages eight to ten prime contractors resulting in annual resurfacing of over 200 lane-miles and replacement of 1,000 curb ramps. Basis provides a wide spectrum of services for 2C through our understanding of all aspects of the program; technical expertise of City and PROWAG standards; ability to coordinate with a multitude of stakeholders including City Departments, Colorado Springs Utilities, private utilities, contractors, or private citizens and business; and unwavering commitment to the City. 2C requires a unique blend of flexibility, responsiveness, and experience of personnel that Basis provides.
Full Spectrum of Construction Management Services
Our construction inspection team works daily with numerous concrete, utility, traffic control, asphalt milling and overlay contractors across the City by providing quality assurance oversight and inspection, managing materials compliance testing, ensuring proper payment of contracted work, and communicating with residents and businesses, and confirming City Standards are held. In addition to construction inspection, our team completes asset inspection and inventory for storm sewer systems using our unmanned rover camera system; pre-overlay concrete PROWAG assessment, cost estimates, and project planning; and pavement assessment and repair recommendations ahead of milling and overlay. Basis truly provides comprehensive engineering and inspection services to ensure the longevity of each roadway asset while maximizing the 2C program budget.
