The City of Colorado Springs hired the Basis team to inspect 233 bridges that carry City roads with a span between four feet and twenty feet and 103 Parks and Recreation bridges.
The team at Basis worked closely with the City during project initiation to review, update, and confirm the City’s bridge inventory. Basis utilized concurrent inspection teams during the inspection phase to compress the schedule and deliver all inspections on time. The project benefited from Basis’ large local network to provide access, which was limited at several structures. The project findings were delivered to the City in presentations that highlighted structural findings, high-priority maintenance items, and recommendations to improve bridge management.
