The City of Manitou Springs contracted Basis to inventory and inspect City-owned minor bridge structures. The Basis team’s efficient processes allowed the City to add scope during the project, yet Basis still delivered all services on time and under budget.
The first phase of the project involved locating all potential bridges meeting the City’s minor bridge criteria. After receiving concurrence on the bridge inventory, the team moved into the inspection phase of the project.
Using custom Basis inspection tools allowed for efficient data collection on all bridges, including several initial inspections. The final phase of the project was the compilation of all inspection data and the creation of final deliverables to be presented to the City.
Basis added value to the project using our understanding of the construction market to provide bridge replacement alternatives that would save the City time and funds.
