us50 resurfacing: Bighorn sheep canyon

Basis provided full-time construction management services for this rural resurfacing project through the Bighorn Sheep Canyon west of the Royal Gorge in Fremont County.

This Colorado Department of Transportation (Region 2) project consists of a 10 mile 2.5” surface mill and overlay of a 2-lane state highway between mileposts 250.7 and 260.9 including 4 miles of Type 3 guardrail replacement, minor bridge rehabilitation (waterproofing, joints, rail), culvert cleaning, signing and striping upgrades, roadside delineators, and centerline rumble strips. Our Basis construction management team along with our teaming partners provided complete construction administration, inspection, and materials testing services in compliance with CDOT standards and documentation practices. The project completed on-time and with a total cost of $6.3M; right on budget.

What Our Client Says

“My expectations for the success of the project were exceeded. This was made possible by the accountability, communications, and respect by all members of the team working together with the contractor in delivering the project successfully. I look forward to working with Basis Partners again on future CDOT projects and would like to state that I would certainly recommend the services of Basis Partners to any project engineer that is desirous of building a team that can successfully deliver a construction project.”
